UCKFIELD web design and development business Blue Planet InternetSolutions is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a networkingparty next month.
Invitations are going out to about 70 businesses to join the BluePlanet team, led by managing director Mark Vaesen, at the event atThe Hop Barn, just off Uckfield High Street.
Mr Vaesen is looking forward to bringing clients and friendstogether on February 25 ahead of moving into new offices. "I thinkmany will find they have a lot in common and may be able to dobusiness together," he said.
This is a big year for Blue Planet. Mr Vaesen said they alreadyhad offices in mind but still needed to finalise arrangements.
Blue Planet was founded in 2001 by Mr Vaesen and his father Paul,an IT consultant who was increasingly being asked by clients if hecould build websites.
Paul was an expert programmer and his son creative and so theymade a good team.
Since then Blue Planet has designed and maintains hundreds ofwebsites which have grown in complexity as technology has improved.
Five people now work in the business and while Paul Vaesenremains a director he is no longer involved in the day-to-dayrunning of it.
Secure intranets go a step further. The most complex built byBlue Planet is for a firm employing many people working away fromthe office. Staff share documents online and the websitecommunicates via text with people on the road notifying them of newappointments and the availability of paperwork.
