Vic:Textile workers lose job after company put into =2

Union organiser JARRED SMITH says Brush told day shift workers on Tuesday not to return
to work today but didn't inform the afternoon shift or night shift employees, relying
instead on workers to pass on the news.

The company has been placed in the hands of receiver JOSEPH LOEBENSTEIN from Green and Sternfeld.

BRUSH is a textile dyeing company whose customers include textile companies from around
Melbourne and regional Victoria.

The company's Abbotsford premises were locked today but employees have been told to
return tomorrow to collect separation certificates.

The 90 employees are owed a weeks wages and six months of superannuation payments.

Receivers and union officials are still tallying up the extent of Brush's debts.
