BALLSTON SPA - The defendant in the February drug-related murder of a Saratoga Springs man became a suspect within the first 24 hours of the investigation, a State Police investigator testified in Saratoga County Court Wednesday.
Investigator Michael Student described how Rodney L. Bailey, 33, cooperated with county sheriff's and state investigators on Feb. 23 as they questioned him about his relationship with murder victim Willie D. Zachery, 37, and how he made a statement in Milton Town Court in which he allegedly admitted to the slaying.
